Let’s start today with a powerful scripture from “Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do”
Reflection
Ephesians 2:10 invites us to see ourselves through God’s eyes-as His handiwork, His masterpiece. This truth is powerful because it reminds us that we aren’t random or purposeless; we are intentionally crafted by a loving Creator. Each of us has been given a unique combination of gifts, personality, and passions, all with a purpose in mind. Embracing this identity means letting go of the pressure to be someone else and finding value in the person God has made us to be. Our purpose is intertwined with action: “created in Christ Jesus to do good works: ‘We aren’t created simply to exist; we’re created to make an impact, to be a blessing to others, and to reflect God’s love through our lives. Knowing that God has prepared specific good works for us gives us a sense of direction and meaning. We can trust that there are opportunities each day, big and small – where we can be used by Him.
Take a moment to reflect on how God has designed your life with purpose. How does the truth, that He prepared good works for you shape the way you see yourself today? For me: This truth amazes me—imagine being called individually by God for a specific mission. It’s incredible to think that He loves us so deeply that He has prepared something unique for each of us, perfectly aligned with how He has designed us.
Application: Live purposefully
Now, let’s talk about how to apply this truth to your life. God has already prepared unique works for each of us to do. This might look like encouraging others, creating art that inspires, lending a helping hand, or simply showing kindness in our daily interactions. Reflect on where you feel called to make a difference and ask God to show you the ways He wants to use you. Knowing that God has prepared good works for us invites us to live with intention. Each day, we can ask ourselves how we can bring love, joy, or hope to someone else. Even in the smallest acts, we participate in the work God has planned for us, and in doing so, we find deep fulfilment.

Father God, thank You for creating me as Your masterpiece. Help me to see myself through Your eyes and to understand the purpose You’ve placed within me. I ask for Your guidance in recognising the good works You’ve prepared for me and for the courage to walk in them. Help me to embrace my identity as Your creation, knowing that I am deeply loved and intentionally made. Lord, open my eyes to see the opportunities each day to serve, encourage, and bring hope to those around me. Let my actions reflect Your love and grace, and may everything I do point back to You. Guide me in using my gifts and passions to make a difference in the world, fulfilling the purpose You’ve placed in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
