It’s Day 13, of the MADE FOR MORE podcast! I’m Jacqui, and today we’re talking about walking in faith. Trusting God with every step isn’t always easy, but it’s the foundation of living out your purpose. Let’s take that next step .
Scripture
Let’s start today with a powerful scripture from “2 Corinthians 5:7 Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. Therefore, we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. For we live by faith, not by sight.”
Reflection
In 2 Corinthians 5:5-7, Paul reminds us that God has crafted us with a specific purpose and has given us the Holy Spirit as a “deposit” a promise and a foretaste of what is yet to come. This passage speaks to the assurance we have as believers: even though we are currently at home in the body; our true home is with God. Our lives are meant for something beyond this earthly existence, and the Spirit within us is a constant reminder of that hope. This verse encourages us to live with confidence and faith. Because of the Holy Spirit’s presence, we don’t have to rely solely on what we see or understand in the moment. Instead, we are invited to trust in God’s promises, even when things are uncertain or beyond our comprehension. “We live by faith, not by sight” is a call to place our trust in the unseen reality of God’s love, presence, and ultimate plan for us.
Take a moment to reflect on how God has designed your life with purpose. How does the truth that He has given us His Spirit as a promise shape the way you see yourself today? For me: Walking in faith becomes easier with each step. Obedience and trust are essential in our journey with Jesus. For me, it began with a desire for more of Him—taking small steps, unsure of where they would lead, but choosing to trust God. He has never disappointed. Looking back, I can see the growth, the courage, the boldness, and even the excitement for the next step He has prepared for me.”
Application: Walking in faith
Now, let’s talk about how to apply this truth to your life. It means choosing to trust God even when the path ahead isn’t clear. Start by identifying one area in your life where you feel uncertain or hesitant and surrender it to God. Pray for His guidance and take a step forward, trusting that He is with you. Faith grows as we act on it—so be intentional about seeking God’s promises in scripture and leaning on the Holy Spirit for strength. Whether it’s starting a new project, reaching out to someone in need, or stepping out of your comfort zone, remember that God has already gone ahead of you and prepared the way.
Prayer: Let’s pray together
Lord, Thank You for creating me with purpose and for the gift of Your Spirit within me. I am grateful for this assurance of what’s to come, and I ask that You help me live by faith, not by sight. Strengthen me to trust in Your promises, especially when I don’t fully understand or see the way ahead. In Jesus Name, Amen.
