Day17 – Persevering in Purpose

Welcome to Day 17 of the MADE FOR MORE podcast! I’m Jacqui. Sometimes walking in your purpose means facing difficulties, but God gives us the strength to persevere. Today, we’ll talk about pressing on through challenges and keeping our eyes on the bigger picture. Let’s dive in—you were made for more.

Scripture

Let’s start today with a powerful scripture from “Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up”

Reflection

Galatians 6:9 encourages us to persevere in doing good, even when it feels challenging or when results seem distant. It’s a reminder that our efforts, kindness, and faithfulness aren’t in vain. The promise of this verse is that, in God’s timing, we will “reap a harvest” if we don’t give up. This harvest may come in different forms changed lives, renewed hope, or strengthened faith-but it is assured when we stay committed to the good work He has called us to. Often, we can grow weary because we don’t immediately see the fruits of our efforts, or because doing good can sometimes feel tiring and unrewarded. This verse reassures us that God sees our efforts, and He is faithful to bring forth a result that aligns with His purpose. Holding on to this promise can inspire us to keep moving forward, trusting that God is working behind the scenes and that our labour is meaningful in His eyes.

Take a moment to think about how God has designed your life with purpose. How does this truth, that you will reap a harvest if you don’t give up, shape the way you see yourself today? For me: I had to change my mindset regarding difficulties, to know that God is the one giving me the strength to persevere. To have a Kingdom mindset, to do whatever you do with Eternity in mind. It is reassuring to know that if we do not give up, we will reap a harvest.

Application: Persevere in purpose

Now, let’s talk about how to apply this truth to your life. Reflect on areas where you feel weary or discouraged. Ask God to renew your strength and give you His perspective on your efforts. Remember that He values even the small acts of kindness and faithfulness that may seem unnoticed. This verse reminds us that the harvest comes “at the proper time;’ according to God’s plan. When you feel impatient or tempted to give up, remind yourself that God’s timing is perfect and that He is faithful to fulfil His promises. Think about specific ways you can continue doing good, whether in your relationships, work, or community. Commit to doing these things with love and patience, knowing that God honours each effort and will bring forth a harvest in due time.

Prayer: Let’s pray together.

Lord, thank You for the encouragement to keep doing good and for the promise that my efforts will bear fruit in Your perfect timing. When I feel weary or discouraged, renew my strength and help me to hold on to the hope You’ve given. Remind me that each act of love, kindness, and faithfulness has meaning and purpose in Your eyes. Help me to trust in Your timing and to stay committed to the work You’ve placed before me. Let my actions reflect Your love, and may I find joy and purpose in serving You and others. Thank You for the assurance of a harvest, and for being faithful to all Your promises. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank you for joining me on Day 17 of the MADE FOR MORE podcast. I am Jacqui from GlobalWorshipRadio.com. Remember that perseverance in your purpose is not about never facing difficulties; it’s about trusting God to provide, the strength to press on, even when the road is tough. Your faithfulness, no matter how small it may seem, is seen by God, and He will bring a harvest in His perfect timing. Keep your eyes on the bigger picture—everything you do with a Kingdom mindset matters, and your efforts are never in vain. When you feel weary, turn to God for renewed strength and know that the harvest will come. Stay committed to the good work He has called you to, and trust that He is working in and through you. I can’t wait to connect with you tomorrow for Day 18—until then, persevere, knowing that you were made for more.
