It’s Day 9 of the MADE FOR MORE podcast and today’s truth is life-changing: You were created with purpose. God didn’t make you by accident—He crafted you with a specific plan in mind. Let’s dive in and uncover what that means for your life today.
Scripture
Let’s start today with a powerful scripture from “Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”
Reflection
Proverbs 19:21 speaks to the heart of surrender and trust in God’s wisdom. While we may have many plans, ambitions, and desires, God’s purpose will always be what prevails. This verse is a reminder that God
sees the bigger picture, far beyond what we can understand. Sometimes, our plans may not unfold as expected, but even in those moments, we can trust that God’s purpose is good and that He is working for our benefit. Learning to let go of our own control and place our trust in God’s guidance leads us to a deeper faith and allows His perfect plans to unfold in our lives.
Take a moment to think about how God has designed your life with purpose. Do you pray before making decisions? You are created with purpose – how does this change your view of yourself? For me: I learned not to lean on my own understanding but to rely on Him to guide me. He always amazes me, and His plans are better. Surrendering your heart and aligning your steps with His, will allows His perfect purpose to unfold in your life.
Application
Before making decisions, take time to seek God’s guidance and pray for alignment with His purpose. Ask Him to shape your desires and plans according to His will. When things don’t go as planned, remember this verse and trust that God’s purpose is still at work. Practice surrender by letting go of the need to control every outcome and resting in the knowledge that His plans are best. Think back on moments when things didn’t go as you expected, yet God worked things out for good. Let these memories strengthen your faith in His prevailing purpose.
Prayer: Let’s pray together.
Lord, thank You for being a God of wisdom and purpose. I acknowledge that my own plans are limited, but Your purpose is perfect and eternal. Help me to surrender my desires and trust in Your greater plan for my
life. Teach me to let go of control and to seek Your guidance with every decision I make. When things don’t go the way I envision, give me peace and remind me that Your purpose will always prevail. Strengthen my faith, Lord, and help me to walk in alignment with Your will, trusting that Your plans are always for my good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
