On-Air Montreal Canada 9AM-12PM CST, North America

Scripture:

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be

upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” – Isaiah 9:6

Devotional:
When the world seem so dark, what is our hope for things to change? How can a cute little baby born in Bethlehem change any of that?
The verses before Isaiah 9:6 tells us that at the time of Jesus’ birth, Israel was walking in deep darkness. The people were doing their own thing without God.  Sound familiar? Thankfully,  God has such a immense love for His people that He chose to do something to save them.  Isaiah 9:2 tells us
The people who walk in darkness
will see a great light.
For those who live in a land of deep darkness,[c]
a light will shine.
That light was, is, and will always be Jesus. He came in the form of a little baby on Christmas day and His Mighty power is available to us right now.  With our invitation, that light will be deposited inside you and me where we can shine it to this world. Jesus, the wonderful counselor is our guide to  teach us how to shine our light to this dark world.  He is a mighty God who has the power to overcome all darkness of this world.
Jesus, is inviting us to shine our light by our actions of love, joy, and peace to people around us. Will you answer the call?
Imagine if all people who carry this light would act like The prince of peace living inside of them? Our world would completely change!
Prayer:  Jesus, thank you for coming to this world to bring hope. Jesus I receive you in my heart as my savior, my hope and my light. Prince of peace come and be the Lord of my life. I want to be used as a light for you in this world. Help me be an instrument of your love to all people you put in my path. . In your name Jesus I pray. Amen.
