Eternal Mindset | Acts 1:8
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses through Jerusalem, in all of Judea, and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.
Have you ever felt like life is just one day blending into the next? It can be easy to get caught up in temporary problems, frustrations, and distractions.
What God is Speaking To Me
Recently, God has been teaching me to shift my focus from what is temporary to what is eternal. When I view life through an eternal perspective, everything changes. The person who is rude to me becomes someone who may be searching for love and hope. A difficult situation becomes an opportunity to trust God. Even small moments become opportunities to glorify Him. God has been reminding me that our purpose is bigger than ourselves.
We are called to be His witnesses, not only to people across the world, but also to the people right next door. Sometimes we dream of reaching the nations while overlooking the neighbors God has already placed in our lives. Acts 1:8 has been special to me since I was 12 years old when I felt called to missions. Later in life, after drifting from God, I thought that calling was impossible. Yet God redeemed what I thought was lost.
Today, through Christian radio, prayer ministry, handing out Bibles, and sharing testimonies, He allows me to help spread the Gospel around the world and in my own community. One lesson I continue to learn is this: when I stop asking, ‘Why is this happening to me?’ and start asking, ‘How can God use this for His Kingdom?’ everything looks different. An eternal mindset turns everyday moments into Kingdom opportunities
