Long ago, my high school youth group was going to a camp. Someone said, ‘Who’s going to play guitar so we can sing the worship songs at camp?’ I started learning guitar a couple of weeks before that camp and have been leading worship ever since 1994. I love leading people into God’s presence.”

I am so grateful to be a part of this Team and to share the vision of truly reaching all around the world and to reach out to YOU! Something I never thought I could never do! When I am online recording and listening to our music, I can see our electronic map in the background. When one of you listens, your country lights up…and that lights up my face and heart with great excitement and joy! My ‘story’ is pretty much one of transition, moving around a lot and as a result, meeting new people and experiencing both hard and good things. There is a feeling of being displaced and not belonging, and not being really ‘known’ when you move around. This is the exact place that God met me. In the lonely times, the ‘new kid on the block’ times and the ‘outcast’ times. The Lord showed me a verse: Matthew 6:33 ‘Seek first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness…and everything else will be given to you.’ At 17 years old, I believed it and this is what I set out to do, trusting that God would provide for me along the way, but mostly at the end of my life. As a ‘transient’ person, sharing the Love of Jesus in many places, in many little ways, some/few big ways….I have put this commitment first…To seek and find God and helping others seek and find Him as well. Leading worship on-air from George, Garden Route, South Africa is Jacqui Smit. “I was 19 years old and was losing hope, had an encounter with the Lord and experienced His love for me and still do. Music is the one thing that brought healing to me and now the Lord is using me at GWR. I have a heart for all people. The Lord has been using me at youth conferences, doing workshops with young people, as well as different people-groups. The last couple of years He placed different projects on my heart. I love how He is leading me, it is an adventure. I am a creative, currently doing designing for different ministries, NBI profiles and part of GWR. My heart is to connect the next generation with Jesus and help them discover their uniqueness in Christ.

Ella J is from Montreal, Canada and leads people in worship from around the world with a mixture of English and French worship. Ella J’s life story is one of complete restoration from hopelessness to abundant life. Her story can be summed up with these words: “Beauty from ashes” (Isaiah 61:3). “Jesus’ powerful redemption love fuels my passion to help others find Their own freedom in Christ. My heart is to help people see themselves through their creator’s eyes so they can live a life of hope, joy, and peace”.

Leading Worship on-air from Kumasi in Fredua Cullinwood “my working definition of prayer is “repeating Gods words back to him” so I often say it’s really going to be a tedious task if you really don’t know the word because I imagine how you then pray, God is a prayer answering God and he’s answered my prayer and I’m thanking him even in advance, I entreat each Christian to pray the right way by repeating Gods words back to him so for instance if you sick, you say Daddy , your word says by your stripes we are healed then appropriate by faith.”
